Girls Hair Styles

emo%20girl%20highlights Girls Hair Styles Now that school is back, are you finding that your morning consists in yelling at your children, trying to get them fed and ready for school? That 1 hour before you drop them off is just not enough to do everything AND take care of your girl’s hair style?

I have learned that it is very important to realize that your child might be feeling inadequate towards her piers if she does not follow the same fashion style or care. Part of building your child’s self-esteem also comes from dressing adequately and hair style definitely comes into play when deciding whether or not your child fits in. I often notice with my own children, when they are among their friends, they feel inclined to like the same things, clothes and hair style. Although little, my 3 year old daughter will ask for me to do her hair in a ponytail or add a headband to her hair if she sees that her friends also have the same style.

My mother was a kindergarten teacher and although she loved her students, all of them, she commented that she treated the ones that were clean and well dressed better than the others. It was in her subconscious and it’s not that she deliberately wanted to treat the others poorly, she just felt more inclined to treat those well dressed children better.

Her comment made me think about the many times when I went out in my sweats and was not respected as usual. Mothers have to wear many hats and have a lot going on in their lives and sometimes, it gets complicated to sit and do a hair style that might take you 30 minutes or so to do. It is a misconception that to be well dressed you have to spend a lot of money. Considering the current economy trend it would sound impossible to be well dressed. But, the one thing the current economy has given us is fierce competition and high competition is always followed by lower prices.

A Darker Look Into the Emo Culture

emo boy hair2 Emo People

Do you find yourself sitting alone in your room writing overly dramatic poetry? Do you wear black clothes and comb your hair in front of your eyes? Are you constantly answering people’s questions with a self professed deep quote on life? Do you feel that everyone is out to hurt you, and that you are all alone in this life? Do you think you are depressed and feel the need to exhibit this to everyone? Does portraying yourself as depressed actually make you feel happy, because you are receiving the attention you crave? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then you my friend are emo.

The term emo was once used to describe a type of emotional punk rock, but now is used to describe a bizarre, pathetic lifestyle that is gaining popularity among young teenagers. People who are emo tend to be very emotional and think every thing that goes wrong in their life is a crisis that marks the end of the world. These highly sensitive beings throw around the words suicide and depression without any genuine consideration. For instance, poetry written by an emo would speak of heart break that ninety-seven percent of the time leads to them cutting themselves to feel a physical pain that distracts them from the “pain” in their “soul”. The other three percent end with the subject being miserable, sitting in the corner of their room unnoticed and all alone screaming or crying. Their poetry also tends to use dark irony. Emo people seek attention in the worst way possible. They yearn for pity and possibly even enjoy the thought of being an outsider. Emos get off on the drama they create in their lives. This is because they usually have no life, as they range from ages eleven to sixteen.

In order to be branded as emo you will need to make a change in the way you dress, talk, and portray yourself. If you simply tell people that you are emo, they will label you as a poser. Being labeled as a poser will make it hard for you to acquire any friends. Instead, dress the part. There are many clothing stores now providing emo styled clothing. A large amount of young teens have jumped on the emo fad, so stores targeting this age range realize they must go out on a limb to reach their customers. Some emo clothing may be out of your budget, though the majority of emo kids are in middle to upper class. You can produce your own emo styled wardrobe by choosing dark clothes, spiky belts and jewelry, and shirts that sport a gloomy or emotional messages. Emo band shirts are a must if you wish to gain respect and authenticity from your fellow emos. After all, you want other emos to accept you. Some emo bands are: Frail, Swing Kids, Cap’N Jazz, Texas Is the Reason, Promise Ring, and Fugazi. Strangely enough, there are some bands in the emo genre that claim they are not in fact emo.
